Jimmy's Diary - Oct/Nov 09

Well, as I speak Katie is busy helping all the children carve pumpkins. Pat has wrapped up warm and is heading out on the tractor ride and Ricky and Rupert are busy setting up the field ready for our Bonfire Party.
Its all go on the farm!!

It’s our last week of the season and as always we have lots of pumpkins for the children to carve. So many people are having a go... I think that’s because they don’t want the mess at home, and I cant say I blame them. It’s a messy job.
After a busy day of pumpkin carving we are left with buckets of pumpkin insides and the pigs really enjoy eating them as a added ingredient to their tea time.
We have lots of pigs in the animal barn at the moment Rosemary has 10 piglets, Parsley has 7 piglets and the award... Read More...

Jimmy's Diary - July 09

Hello Everyone!

Hope you have all been enjoying the very warm weather we have been having. It was very warm in the paddocks but luckly i had plenty of shade that i could relax in. The pigs spent most of their time wallowing in the mud baths Ricky had made for them and the ducks looked very happy splashing and quacking on the pond.

I have exciting news.. Read More...

Jimmy's Diary - June 09

Hello Everyone,

We have had a population explosion over the May half term with mini scarecrows and life size ones being made all day. Children have created some lovely masterpieces. The best scarecrow from each day were entered into our grand final, and all the staff agreed that a very well built scarecrow called ‘Snatcher’ built by the Ovenden family was the overall winner.

Well done the Ovendans! They win free entry at Christmas.

We had a few showers over the half term week, but as always the show must go on and everyone Read More...

Jimmy's Diary - January 09

Hello everyone
I hope that you all had a lovely christmas and are enjoying the new year so far....

After a short christmas break for both the staff and animals, work had started to make 2009 the best season ever.

With such a busy christmas it was very strange when everyone disapeared, luckly Rupert and his family stuck around to make sure that we were all ok and to give us our breakfast and supper, and me and Jimmy were moved into the large barn with our fellow four legged friends including Mum, Sam, Annie and George. We will all stay indoors now until it gets a bit warmer outside as its been freezing. Annie the Highland Cow keeps telling everyone that where she comes from its cold most of the time. I’m glad i dont live there as i love the sunshine and cant wait for Spring.
